And seeing the multitudes, He went up on a mountain, and when He was seated His disciples came to Him. Then He opened His mouth and taught them, saying:

In the stirring of my storm,
The Lord is by my side.
On the edges of my ledges,
The Lord is by my side.
In the low spots of my loss,
The Lord is by my side.
On the mountains of my messes,
The Lord is on my side.

The Lord is on my side.
No matter the pain, problem, pursuit, or persnippity persistent pest,
The Lord is on my side.
