Powerful Healing: In The Dark

Psalm 16:7 I praise you, Lord, for being my guide.
Even in the darkest night, your teachings fill my mind.
CEV

Psalm 16:7  I praise the Lord, because he guides me,
and in the night my conscience warns me.
GNT

In the night:

Waking from a fretful rest, this excerpt from the Psalm of healing, breaks through with truth. Over and over my dreams spoke of being robbed of precious items in life.  As I woke and pondered the meaning, it impressed me how often that has happened.

Over life and time all of us build.  We build families.  We build homes.  We build playhouses in the woods.  We build businesses.  We build outreaches.  We build.  It is our nature and commission of God.  When what we build is taken from us due to greed or natural destruction or lack of attention or any other corruption or theft, we grieve the loss.  A good man or woman goes on and builds again.  A wounded soul pulls into them and wonders why they never prosper.

Lesson of Conscience

This is a lesson from the conscience speaking in the night hours.  The conscience is a good source of healing.  God speaks into the depths of our heart and minds goodness for our souls.  Many times, it is in rest that we take down our defenses and let Him speak the loudest.

For this moment, God is instructing me to insure that I enjoy along the path of what I build and not worry too much about the end.  At the same time, He is instructing me to build paths of ownership that allow the prosperity to roll over on my family.  There is healing in those instructions.  There is relief from confusion over past living and loss.  There is hope for the future and there is new strength for today.  What was disturbing as I slept was washed in wisdom and a future hope and understanding.

Darkest Night

The Perseid meteor belt lights up our skies at the lake tonight.  Watching brilliant meteors hit the atmosphere and burn with broad and long tails is soothing.  Not many get to see such life in the night.  Most were asleep.  Many live around so much bright light of the city that they will never see the show of God’s handiwork in such loveliness.  It is there.  We just don’t see it.  It took me 56 years to stop and watch and my memory will never be the same.  There is beauty painted in my mental storage.

A legislator from Louisiana sent me this note.  “I believe that God is always there.  It is me that sometimes is not.”  When He is most brilliant, our busyness and distraction keeps us from seeing Him.  When we are in the darkest parts of life, we most often will stop and see His hand. Why do we wait?

Healing?

Want to be healed?  Put yourself in quietness and solitude.  Listen to your sleeping moments.  God is speaking loudly with healthy instruction.  You will gain wisdoms to share with your soul and with others.

It is these lessons taught into our conscience and soul that come out when needed in daily living.  Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth will speak in confident faith and expectant expression of the goodness of God.  Healing comes from the deep.  It exudes by the touch and hand of the Holy Spirit from vast storehouses into which we plunge our thoughts and pains during the quiet and the dark.

Shortly our lessons will turn to engage power healing.  Please understand the path to power is paved with patience and persistence and perception.  Rushing into power is damaging in the long run and will cause a more fretful life than the one you already have.

Pray:

Father, talk to me.  Talk to my soul.  Talk to my conscience.

Allow Your words of life and loveliness to imbed deep into my sleeping and waking thoughts.

All Your insights application to my life.

Help me to see You speak in the dark.

Help me to see You always speak.

It is the dark that allows me to discern the subtleties of Your wisdom and counsel and might.

Holy Spirit, guide me.  Speak to me in quietness and solitude as I respect Your gentleness and lovingkindness.  Then empower me as a lion to go forth in victory expanding the kingdom of God within my soul and without the expanse of my called influence in this life.

Powerful Healing: Living Large in Boundaries

Psalm 16:The lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places; yea, I have a goodly heritage. KJV

You make my life pleasant, and my future is bright. CEV

The boundary lineshave fallen for me in pleasant places; surely I have a delightful inheritance. NIV 1984

Boundaries

Along with every gift comes a set of conditions and expectations.  Giving a BB gun to a nine year old comes with conditions that it is only used with Dad.  Giving a wedding ring to a spouse comes with promises to love, honor, and cherish.  There are boundaries.  There are definitions of the blessing and how to enjoy and conditions to limit and protect and fulfill purpose.

Every job comes with a set of conditions and expectations.  Overlooking a contract arrangement it impressed me I might have to take extra time to really understand how to make this new relationship work.  Conditions and clauses limit and liberate my abilities with the group.

Every call of God comes with promises and extensions.  The call to do something helps define our path and helps us to understand obedience in the path will result in extended boundaries.  Resistance to path will result in confusion and possibly greater limitation in order to get us back to the path.

Limiting Boundaries.

Some boundaries are limits.  Gravity is a limiting boundary.  Jump off a 20 story building and the limiting boundaries of strength of your physical body coupled with the limiting boundaries of gravity will pound your body into death.  Expect it.  Those limits allow us to define actions in a safe and full living manner.

Liberating Boundaries

Some boundaries are liberation.  A grant for an education is meant to expand our knowledge and ability to do more in life.  It is a boundary, but it has an intention to liberate.  It may be restricted to a certain university and course of study, but there are liberties all along the path.  The same would work with an employment contract.  The employer may give us latitude to work and make commissions within a certain product and service.   The boundary can be liberating.

 Healthy Boundaries

God given boundaries always lead to life and health.  Understanding, acknowledging, and living inside them bring us greatness in life, health in our bodies, blessing in our minds, and peace to our souls.  Defining the boundaries of envy, jealousy, strife, and contempt keeps us peaceful with our fellow humans and enjoying our lives.  Defining the boundaries of the power of God focused toward us, righteousness in Christ, full salvation,  and the fruit of the Spirit brings incredible liberation and blessing to every step we take.

Recognize

The smart and healthy and balance Christian sees the right boundaries of call and position in life and uses them to good for themselves and others.  Boundaries can be stretched when obedience is engaged.  Boundaries can be tightened with disobedience is the norm.   It is our choice to study, recognize, acknowledge and activate the boundaries.

Short Story

A friend challenged me on some of my activities.  His best knowledge of me was my gift of organization and administration.  Since I am more active today in birthing and building and developing new works and businesses, he is confused.  How can I be going outside my boundaries and hope to succeed?  The answer is simple.  My boundaries have been stretched through obedience and fulfillment of call.  What fell to my lot before is much bigger today through study, acknowledgement, acceptance, and obedience.

Had I simply stayed safely in the middle portion of my boundaries and never explored them fully to the outside edge, I probably would have no understanding of the build components God had in my future.  My friend would be right to tell me to stay in my older boundaries.  But the boundaries have been expanded and there is much more life and abundance to be enjoyed.  The boundaries of my future need not be the boundaries of my present experience.

Where Are You?

Struggling with health issues?  Struggling with emotional distress?  Struggling with bad relationships?  Sometimes our best strategy for healing is to acknowledge our present boundaries and begin growing them into future boundaries through prayer, action, and engagement.  The boundary I have today provides a safe place in which to grow and expand and become healthier.

Prayer:  Father, it really can be hard to understand life.  You want us full of health and life and living.  You want us complete in Christ.  Yet, we must grow in grace and power.  We must acknowledge the present and grow into the future.  We must seek You first and Your kingdom to understand how we are protected and given room to grow.  Grow us safely, in good season, and with ever increasing faith and results.  What a Good God You are.

Powerful Healing: Pray Over Your Good Day.

Psalm 16:5 Lord, you alone are my portion and my cup. You make my lot secure and provide confidence for me in my position and current standing.

Every day there are turnings in directions we do not want.

Every day there are tests to put us off course.

Every day belongs to God.

Every day belongs to health.

Every day belongs to healing.

The concept of lot is simple. Each of us has a certain portion of life assigned to us this day. We have possessions, friendships, family, positions, talents, abilities, thoughts, and passions. They are our lot. They are a good lot.

Say that over your lot. “This is a good lot. God has given me a good portion in life.”

Of course there are portions of your life that might be unhealthy and disturbing. There are relationships that are destructive and play down health and vitality. But do they belong to you or are they intruders? What about your lot that belongs to you? It is good. You may not be doing well keeping it up and allowing God to instill grace in every aspect, but it is good. It is for your good.

Now take a little inventory.

What parts of your portion or lot in life are doing well? Your attitude? Your thoughts? Some of those relationships? Some of those possessions? My truck has a dinged bumper. The truck is good. It is a pleasant portion. Right now it has a ding. The ding does not take away from the goodness of the truck. Maybe it impedes some of the utility. Maybe it does not look as grand from that view. Yet, as a whole the truck is good and it is a blessing. It needs some repair and repair it will receive. Then it will be whole and fully useful. Today it is a good truck. It is a blessing of God.

What parts of your portion or lot in life are not doing well? My weight is not where I want it. It really is doing well. I am right where the doctors would be happy. But, I want better. I want stronger. I want the best healthy ratio of body tissues and fluids. My lot is good. A year ago, it was not good. The portions of fat were out of line with what would be good for health. So I changed it. My eating changed. My exercise changed. My body changed. My mental attitude changed.

What is an area of concern? I understand I have been given talents and abilities that are not my own. What we have is to be shared and held in common for others to received. This weekend, my son and his friends shared time at our lake cabin. It brought joy to my heart to see others encouraged and strengthened enjoying our portions. Tonight, I will teach a bible study with a group of unchurched folk. What I have is meant for them. If you are not giving away your portion to others, you are unhealthy. Selfishness is a bad situation and an horrid lot in life. Don’t live there.

Security does not mean hoarding. Security means I am confident and can share and understand as much as I give, God gives more back and increases the value of what I have. By cooperating with God, protecting what we have, building on it, restoring it, and sharing it, we find absolute health and vitality in all that we have. He secures it through us and in cooperation with us.

Father, wow! You are incredible. My lot is secure in You. I have confidence in You. I am strong in You. All I have is good and getting better in You. Let me be full of unending goodness in all I am and all I have. Let me see with eyes of understanding. Let me engage with a heart to enjoy the great inheritance and portion You have provided for me.

Powerful Healing: Good Blood

Psalm 16:4 Their sorrows shall be multiplied who choose another god; their drink offerings of blood will I not offer or take their names upon my lips.

Last notes were about avoidance of the bad. What about engagement with the good?

There is life in the words of our mouth and the ways of our feet.   Where we go, what we say, how we act, who engages our moments, and why we do what we do directs our steps.  Our steps direct our results.

Over all of that who, what, why, how, and where is God’s providence.  He takes all of our living and accelerates it to the positive or allows it to the negative.  There is no stationary.  There is no fence to ride.

When we invoke His help through focusing on His love and energy and involvement, all of our results become stronger  to the direction we need. It is good blood.

When we avoid His help through focusing on our relationships with the world and the inclusion of the greed, envy, strife, and focus on bad blood, we invite that influence into our overall results. Even a good action becomes a bad outcome and we wonder why.

So what does it mean to take a name on my lips? Out of the abundance of what we store in our hearts, our words and focus come. It is not so much about what we say and what we mull over in the depths of the quiet moments. When we fill our minds with distractive influences that have no good in them, they infect our sleeping and waking dreams and actions. We lack trust of others because we view life through jaded lenses. We resist commitment because we don’t believe others will follow through,

So the commandments of Good Blood:

  1. Get focused on God as Creator and the Source of all blessing. Just don’t entertain any other thoughts of Him. A few acquaintances recently talked about how fearful they were of a certain manager. The manager is one of the most gracious I know. And, he believes in high accountability. These were afraid of being held accountable for the results of their performance. We can be toward God like that. We become afraid because we do not understand His grace and mercy and goodness mixed with justice and accountability. Shift. Don’t live in fear. Live in faith toward God. Come to Him in humility and acknowledgment of who He is. And remember He will always be good to you, even in correction.
  2. Pray and appeal to Him with expectancy. Taking God’s name in vain is less about cursing than it is about useless prayer. Don’t waste His time. When you go to Him, expect results. When you talk about Him to friends, do it with joy and passion.
  3. Be faithful to build value for others. When you borrow and item, take it back in better shape than you received it. When you work for an employer, give 100% when you are on the job. Put away your cell phone. Be a builder of value for those around you. When you speak to a friend, give them encouragement not pity.
  4. Spend time with other believers and make sure you rest. Rest builds vibrancy. There are seven days. Take one of them to rest and recoup and worship God. Make sure you find time to meet with other believers and let the togethers heal all of your souls.
  5. Do something to build your family and friend relationships. Go play with a friend. Do something out of the ordinary with your spouse or child or grandchild.
  6. Talk up. It is easy to point out problems. Talk up. Point out solutions and strengths and goodness about others.
  7. Be content with your family, possessions, home, apartment, car, and what you have around you. Quit looking for more. Settle in and enjoy.
  8. Life, life, life. Quit contemplating death and destruction and abuse. Promote marriage and babies. Promote useful living for seniors. Encourage others to find joy in life.
  9. Help someone who can’t help themselves in that area.

Okay, you do these things and good blood will begin to overtake you. On your worst days, you will see sunshine and life.

Father, I want that sunshine and life and good blood flowing through me. It works. You work. You are full of life. When I connect with You and Your ways, Your life flows through me to others and I can’t help be be healthier myself. Bless me, Father. Let the kingdom of Your righteousness and love stir deep in me and through me to others.

Powerful Healing: Avoid Bad Blood

Psalm 16:4 Their sorrows shall be multiplied who choose another god; their drink offerings of blood will I not offer or take their names upon my lips.

Balanced health includes avoidance.  Avoid wrong influences. Avoid wrong foods.  Avoid wrong people.  Avoid wrong patterns of thinking.  Avoidance can bring health.

Of course, it is impossible to avoid the entire world. A world set on finding self fulfillment and worshipping itself is destined for failure and defeat.  There are destructive behaviors that lead to early death and disturbed living.  Our United States is beset with cancers and heart conditions and diabetes and extensive diseases transmitted only sexually.  All of these are promoted by wrong living and a lack of avoidance.  Our statistics show it.

In these United States we have fallen to less than 25% regular attendance at worship services.  From prior readings you know that taking time with other saints brings healing.  It doesn’t have to be Sunday morning church, but there need to be times we come together and encourage.  At the same time, it is estimated we have over 25% homosexual relationships as adults.  There are social and physical disorders that accompany that lifestyle choice.  We have choices in our life patterns.  Some lead to health.  Some lead to disease.

Avoid “bad blood”.  Now we don’t have many that imbibe of blood.  We do have many that focus on hedonistic lifestyles.

Bad blood can be an over stimulation with alcohol as a focus in life.  How often do our advertisements get focused on sex and alcohol and full pleasure as a mix worth pursuing?  That is a diseased pattern.  Dancing around the outside edges of that lifestyle will draw you into the lifestyle.  There is emotional and physical damage waiting to engage you.  Avoid the draw.

Bad blood can be an overdependence on drugs.  The habits of constant pain killers, mood altering drugs when we have an issue we need to attend, and stimulants to restore sexual activity flood our society.  They are bad blood.  This choice of living takes us away from the normal balance of pain and repair.  By masking pain as a habit, we become addicted to ill health with drugs as a cover.  Ask God to search you out and deal with the source of the pain instead of masking.

Bad blood can be constant sensate driven living.  Filling yourself with television and movies and reading that plays to extremes brings ill health.  You can only watch a head cut off or a body disemboweled or a child sexually abused so many times before your mind is dulled to good living and becomes insensitive to real and wholesome life.  Think on the good things Paul admonishes us in Philippians.

Bad blood can be drama queen living.  The ineffective and harmful lifestyles of gossip and manipulation are promoted to the maximum in our culture through such entertainment as “Two and A Half Men” and reality shows bent on who can destroy and lie the most to win.  What are we thinking?  This is not living, this is killing.

Their sorrows are multiplied, who choose another God.  Just these three habitual styles of bad blood are enough to illustrate.  Our society becomes in love with pain avoidance and sensationalism and ends up in disease and destructive patterns.  With so much finger pointing and back stabbing as our focus we take it into our daily living without realizing who we have become.

Want to be healed?  Make healthy choices for your mind and eyes and ears and thoughts a priority.  Avoid bad blood.  It is amazing how quickly health can return when aborting these patterns.  Don’t expect a two day turnaround after a twenty year bad focus.  But do expect freedom in thinking and living and physical health to be restored in time.  The earlier in life we choose life as our focus, the less pain we need to endure.

Prayer:  Father, how can I love You more?  How can I take time in my living to engage Your thoughts and not my ways?  Teach me to avoid the bad blood situations and lifestyles that will only destroy as they are pursued.  Teach me the ways of life.  Help me to focus my mind and eyes and ears and actions on good habits that build me and build others.  Let me think on those things that are good and loving and just and honest and praiseworthy and excellent and of a good report.  It they don’t fit, help me cast them out and be restored to health.

Powerful Healing: The Saints – Path to Healing

Psalm 16:3 As for the saints who are on the earth,
“They are the excellent ones, in whom is all my delight.”

live prayer time…http://youtu.be/yZuYPLgy8Cw

There is no faster and more effective path to healing than good relationships with healthy people.  Surrounded by positive expression and strong affirming resolve, it is hard to stay sick.  Surrounded by negative expression and strong depressive resolve, it is hard to stay well.

Those partners in our day with whom we make interchange of ideas and smiles and emotions have great affect on our health and balance.  A good morning every day can do wonders from a positive person.  A good morning every day from someone we know has underlying agendas can steal our strength.  You get it.  You’ve been there.

The saints on earth are a joy and a health.  There are plenty of saints in heaven.  The ones who love God and work to follow Him here on earth help me.  They have a spirit of excellence in them that is contagious.  They have an expectation of joy that is infectious.

Stay surrounded by excellence people with positive attitude.  It is a source of healing and a great inoculation against insidious mental attacks of envy and strife and gossip and slander and backbiting.  Those diseases can cause you to be tired and hate getting up.  Those diseases can cause your body to take five times as long to recover from a simple cold as they drain energy and restorative life source.

Yesterday, I spent a good day encouraging others.  In the workplace, at a downtown mission, at a restaurant, and over the phone across the nation, it was good to pray and speak good words with some of those saints of excellence on earth.  Being with them and seeing God do good through them is good for me.  Praying for them and expressing the goodness of God through me to them is good for me.

The smiles of good friends bring such life with them.  I laugh as I think of a good friend who came three buildings travel to see me.  She bounded down the hall and gave me a big hug.  What a joy to be loved like that.

Find some excellent saints on earth today and exchange your spark.  It is good healing.

Pray:  Father, what a wonderful plan You have launched.  You have given us others to hold us up when we are down. You have given us to others to hold them up when they need it.  How excellent You are in the lives of Your saints here on earth.  Thanks, Father for this great family we have.  let our friends be a source of health and healing in our lives as they bring love and joy to our day.

Powerful Healing: Righteousness: Path To Healing

Psalm 16:2 I say to the Lord, “You are my Lord; apart from you I have no good thing.”

Matthew 6:33 Seek first the kingdom of God and all His righteousness and all the rest of this will be added for you and into your care and pleasure.

Proverbs 21:21 Whoever pursues righteousness and love finds life, prosperity and honor

Live prayer at http://youtu.be/lYZXjDHVnb4

Righteousness brings incredible blessing, restoration, and a sure footed path. Couple it with love and you find life, prosperity, and honor. Now that is a balanced and healthy life.

Life instead of disease and death.

Prosperity instead of poverty and despair.

Honor instead of disaster and depression.

Righteousness brings a powerful and balanced health to our bodies, our minds, our spirit, and our relationships.

Look at all of these promises at the end of the lesson of principle in Proverbs. There are as many that reference the righteous and we will cover those in another lesson.

What is the difference between living in righteousness and being righteous? One is a condition of principled living, the other is a state of being. In the next lesson, we’ll talk about the state of being righteous. It is attained through faith in Jesus Christ. He who never knew sin, became sin and suffered and died for our punishment so that we might be called the righteousness of God through faith in Him.

We have righteousness through our faith in God. We are accepted and stand before Him.

Abraham’s faith was counted to him as righteousness and so it is with us.

We live righteousness when we allow the Holy Spirit to enable in us right living according to the principles and heart and mind and ways of God. It is not about law and legalism. Righteousness is a focus of the heart to follow after God’s ways. To love the Lord, Your God with all your heart and soul and might and to love your neighbor as yourself. Living in righteousness is not a condition of perfection but purpose and principle.

Righteousness is that attitude in Psalm 16:2 I say to the Lord, “You are my Lord; apart from you I have no good thing.” There it is in the simplest form. When we say of God that He is the source of all good things and nothing else, we invoke righteousness by faith. Give Him all honor. Give Him all praise. Give Him all glory. Give Him and His priorities first thought when making a decision. That is righteousness.

Proverbs 8:20 I walk in the way of righteousness, along the paths of justice,

Proverbs 10:2 Ill-gotten treasures have no lasting value, but righteousness delivers from death

Proverbs 11:4 Wealth is worthless in the day of wrath, but righteousness delivers from death.

Proverbs 11:5 The righteousness of the blameless makes their paths straight, but the wicked are brought down by their own wickedness.

Proverbs 11:6 The righteousness of the upright delivers them, but the unfaithful are trapped by evil desires.

Proverbs 11:18 A wicked person earns deceptive wages, but the one who sowsrighteousness reaps a sure reward

Proverbs 12:28 In the way of righteousness there is life; along that path is immortality.

Proverbs 13:6 Righteousness guards the person of integrity, but wickedness overthrows the sinner.

Proverbs 14:34 Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin condemns any people

Proverbs 15:9 The LORD detests the way of the wicked, but he loves those who pursue righteousness.

Proverbs 16:8 Better a little with righteousness than much gain with injustice.

Proverbs 16:12 Kings detest wrongdoing, for a throne is established throughrighteousness

Proverbs 16:31 Gray hair is a crown of splendor; it is attained in the way ofrighteousness

Proverbs 21:21 Whoever pursues righteousness and love finds life, prosperity and honor

Father, here I am again and again and again. I will never cease to come to You for supply and answers and strength. Who else is there? Where else would I go?

In You are all the answers needed.

In You is all the health and life wanted.

In You I live and move and have my being.

You are all my righteousness. I am complete in You. I worship You.

Father, you have made this body of mine a temple of the Holy Spirit. Only because You call me righteous in Jesus can I live in such a manner. Cause the life of the Holy Spirit in which there is no disease, no want, no distraction from Your will and way, cause that life to stir in me today and every day and I will live complete in You and Your way and life and truth.

Enabling Health Through Learned Preservation

Psalm 16:1,11 NKJV

Preserve me, O God, for in You I put my trust.

You will show me the path of life;
In Your presence is fullness of joy;
At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.

This psalm of David starts with trust and ends in forever pleasures.  The expressions of David’s heart between those two phrases reveal much of a great walk of faith.  In these verses are specific fulfilled prophecies attributed to Jesus’ resurrection.  In these verses are specific fulfilled promises attributable to our daily resurrection and restoration and protection.

Preservation, safety, and protection all appeal to us.

Trust in Him gives us education in every moment that will repair the present and prepare our pleasures.

Invincible

Some days we feel invincible and take great risks.  Yet, even in risks we hide ourselves in protective gear. When parachuting, there is a backup and training and expert packing of gear in which one puts trust.  There is risk.  There is protection.  And it can fail and disappoint and destroy us.

Confident

Some days we feel confident and make definitive plans. When preparing our financial futures we consult experts and put our monies in diversified investments to hedge against unforeseen change in economy.  We trust brokerage reports and money market funds and forecasts.  And they fail and disappoint us.

Flat Bottom and Flushed

In a flat bottom small fishing boat, my wife and I had traversed to another part of the cove at the large lake.  On other occasions I had been out fishing the cove in the boat and she wanted a tour.  After playing for a while, the wind came up strong against us.  The small trolling motor was no match for the lapping waves and roughened waters and we had run the battery down.  Two people in a small flat boat cruising the water are different than one quietly fishing.  Someone had taken the oars out this boat and put them in another one for backup.  That left us with no backup.  Plan and path one and two were spent and had not worked.

Pulling up to shore, we decided to walk through the woods back to the cabin and get an oar.  It was not far but it was not close.  At the cabin I discovered the oars were at another location (later I bought an extra oar for the flatbottom).  So, I set out with some rope and a board to use for pushing along the shore and traipsed back through the woods alone.

Back at the boat as I steered away from the rocky shore, a swift gust of Oklahoma wind toppled me into ten feet of water.  My right knee cracked hard against an outcropping rock.  Praise God it was not my head instead.  Plan C was not working. Everything in which I put my trust was failing.

Into the cold water I plunged and decided not to try and fight the waves from in the boat.  So, in 50 degree water up to my chest, I pulled the boat by roape some half a mile along the shore back to our beach.  Wet, cold, aching, embarrassed, and victorious I met my wife.  Somehow, I did not feel pleasurable.

Through all of that experience I learned much about new paths.  Today I have a kayak build just for lake waters that skims the top.  It has two sets of oars and I have increased muscle strength.  It is light and I am much more limber.  I don’t go out in high winds.  My range of travel is ten times the flat bottom and the fun factor is an hundred times.  Pleasures of exploring inlets and quietly coming up on fish and fowl are much greater.

Yes, I do give rides to wife and family and friends.  It is specifically a two person kayak and is well geared to that.

Walk Secure

Walking with God is similar.  We find ourselves in hard situations for which we are not prepared or protected.  He gets us out, though there is pain involved.  It would be better if we had listened and trusted correctly, but our stubbornness leads us down hard paths.  Should we choose to learn, we can take different steps in the path He intends for us and find pleasures forevermore.

Choose Paths

Choose to learn.  Choose paths of health and healing.  Choose paths of provision and protection.  Whether it is your fun and enjoyment time or the needs of your daily strength of mind and body, the principles are set in creation and expressed in His words.

Trust in Him gives us education in every moment that will repair the present and prepare our pleasures.  Some pain is necessary to teach us.  Many times pain is simply our lack of trust and listening to His directives.

Phil’s Prayer Expansion of Psalm 16:1,11

Keep me covered in good, preserved in specialness, and restored to rightness, O God, My Father and Friend, for in You and only in You do I fasten my trust and set my expectation moment by moment.

You will show me and make fully known to me the path of life set out for me and destined and designed to lead me to good;
In Your presence in me, around me, and through me is fullness of joy in all aspects of my life, health, welfare, finances, comfort, stability, and expression;
At Your right hand of power and decision are pleasures forevermore.

Father, put light on my path.  Help me avoid the avoidable pains and learn from the needed ones.  You know what I need and how I need and when I need.  I trust You.   I trust Your discipline and direction.  Teach me in Your ways and in the way needed for my path to take me where You want me to go.

Take me, Father, to the place and pleasures for which You have prepared and are preparing me.

Bring to me, Father, the promised place and pleasures for which You have prepared and are preparing both them and me.

Take me to full established thinking.

Take me to stabile and serving emotions.

Enable me to expanded productivity and service to others.

Wash my body with physical and physiological strength and enablement.

Expand my Spirit to understand the power and ability found only in connection close to You and Your Holy Spirit.

Touch my relationships with right words and actions so they may be full of love and expanded engagements that build joy and pleasure forevermore.

The Inheritance Heals: Establishing the Presence of God

Psalm 16: 5-11 NKJV

O Lord, You are the portion of my inheritance and my cup;
You maintain my lot.
The lines have fallen to me in pleasant places;
Yes, I have a good inheritance.

Full health comes with full experience of all God plans.  His plan includes an inheritance and a cup. Let’s consider those in light of our healing.  For our purposes let’s consider the inheritance the things outside of us and the cup thethe strengths of our heart and personality and talents inside of us.  Gifts in us of God can change all the things outside of us in the world.

Our birth starts us out with a certain set of talents, personality, physical abilities, and leanings in life. Some of that was designed of God for goodness.  Some of that like so much else is influenced by the curse that lives in our world. God wants to take all that we start with and bring it to greatness.  Have a good outlook on how you start and allow His management and you always end up in a better place.

He promises to maintain our lot.  At the lake I have four lots of equal size.  Together they make up a full acre.  It takes maintenance.  A crack in a water line meant spending a day under my cabin with the albino spiders.  That is just what needs done.  Today, I enjoy the birds from my deck.  They are health and peace to my soul.  God gave me these lots.  He placed desires in my heart 30 years ago that guide me when opportunity presents richness.  He gave me a love for the outdoors.  He gave me a father who always wanted an outdoor place for his children.  All of that is God maintaining my lot and leading me to more peace and joy with family and friends.

He promises to maintain our lot.  I was born with a skillful mind and a love for communication and people.  I also was born with a significant hearing deficit. Today in some ranges I am 80% deficient.  So I have learned to read faces and body language.  Praying for tens of thousands of people has taught me to listen to my Father’s voice first and see great miracles.  My ears don’t work in loud auditoriums at prayer lines with music playing, but my heart and spirit can easily cast off distraction and listen to the Holy Spirit.  Continually, I have people send me notes on how a certain lesson pierced personally to their situation.  God has maintained my lot to bring great healing and comfort and health.

The lines or boundaries of our inheritance fall in pleasant places.  Oh, take that attitude!  How often do we decry our situation instead of enjoy it?  A simple situation can lead to great blessing.  A recent change in structure at a company for which I have worked has launched me into a broad new opportunity I would have never taken.  Comfort can leave us constrained.  Full health comes in full expression of who we are.  God will maintain your lot by giving you special opportunities to grow and enjoy life to the fullest.  They will take fearless faith to embrace.  Embrace them.

Yes, I have a good inheritance.  Tell yourself that over and over.  Drop the negative focus of judgment and criticism.  An inspective attitude and propensity for detail is a blessing unless you turn negative.  One can see a picture leaning to the side and straiten it or one can see the picture leaning to the side and complain about how the dry weather is affecting the building foundation.  It is a choice of life or destructiveness in our heart and mouth for us and those around us.

Health and healing come with perspective and agreement with God.  Grab positive agreement.  Allow His hand to take your right hand and lead you into greater fullness.

Pray: Oh, Father, what a wonderful God You are.  You do magnificence in all You do.  Teach us to see the blessing in our present situation.  Enliven in us an expectancy to do more, see more, enjoy more and have abundance to bless others.  That brings healing.  That brings life.  That brings You into our life by invitation and open acceptance of Your love and unconditional plan of growth.  Oh, how I love the life You have given.

Reverse the negatives that the world and the enemy and my own stubborn and selfish desires have created.  Let me wander and wonder in You and see what plans exist to build on what is in place in my life today and bring brighter moments in my life this day.  Help me to see the opportunities of today and do not worry about tomorrow.

Today there is greatness for me.

Today there is health for me.

Today there is life for me.

Today there is blessing for me.
